Burak is a Sustainability/ESG and Safety transformation expert in Real Estate and Infrastructure with extensive strategic leadership, consulting, and delivery experience. He has been a programme director and through senior secondments in client roles. His experience covers the UK, EMEA and APAC in Capital Projects, Transport, Major Events, Oil & Gas and Utilities.
Throughout his career, Burak has worked for a major Contractor/Developer, a boutique consulting company in heavy industries, a global Engineering/Programme Management firm, and one of the Big 4 Consulting firms prior to becoming an independent consultant. He has demonstrated leadership and delivery abilities in complex major programmes such as London 2012, FIFA World Cup Qatar, Expo 2020 and most recently at the Lower Thames Crossing. He delivered various impactful engagements across the E, S and G pillars such as health & safety, carbon / energy, human rights / labour rights, diversity & inclusion, climate risk / nature, supply chain risk, risk and governance, ESG reporting and investor relations.
He is a member of Real Estate Advisory Board and a guest lecturer in ‘ESG and Real Estate’ at London School of Economics. He holds an MSc in Real Estate Economics and Finance from LSE, MSc in Construction Economics and Management from UCL and a BA in Architecture from University of Nottingham.
