Michelle’s involvement as a member of two university engineering advisory boards, and her extensive experience on the Board and various committees of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) reflect her passion for engineering and the importance of strong links between academia and industry for companies to get the best from their new graduates. As the first woman President of the Southern African Institute for Industrial Enineering in 2000, Michelle inspired a new generation of women.
Michelle is an advocate for women in engineering and strategic leadership of the profession as a Board Member of the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and President of the Southern African Institute for Industrial Engineering (SAIIE).
