Bio
Joel Gill is Lecturer in Sustainable Geoscience at Cardiff University, and the Co-CEO (Research and Impact) of the registered charity, Geology for Global Development (GfGD). Joel has a keen interest in strengthening the (geo)science-policy interface, with ongoing engagement in intergovernmental policy processes related to sustainable development and disaster risk reduction.
Abstract
Joel will reflect on the role of effective collaborations in policy engagement – exploring the types of collaboration that have supported his policy-related work to date, how to build collaborations, and ways these collaborations can contribute to high-level discussions relating to sustainable development.
