Bio

Geertje is an Associate Professor at UCD’s College of Business. Prior to joining UCD, she received her research degrees from the University of Groningen (Netherlands) and held positions at the University of Aberdeen (UK) and at Aarhus University (Denmark).

Geertje is an environmental psychologist who researches the psychological processes that underpin behavioural change, such as emotions, trust, fairness and social norms. Her focus area of study surrounds if and how these psychological factors can be used to design interventions or policies. In particular, this includes research on how the public accepts technologies and environmental policies in areas like energy, transportation, raw materials, water, and food.

Abstract

At Responsible Raw Materials, Geertje will discuss her recent most observations as part of working in a large interdisciplinary consortium.
