Bio:
Chris Tucker is Skeena Gold & Silver’s Corporate Innovation Manager, focused on energy and risk management in revitalizing the Eskay Creek Mine in northwestern British Columbia. Formerly with Deloitte Canada’s Mining and Metals practice, Chris has worked with the world’s largest mining and energy companies developing their sustainability and decarbonization strategies and serves on the board of directors for Pacific Empire Minerals.
Abstract:
Responsible mine development requires both focused and broad collaboration across many groups. The Eskay Creek Revitalization Project in British Columbia brings a unique approach to collaboration with local communities, governments, investors, and other actors. This presentation will focus on how longer-term thinking can be incorporated into a development stage project.
