Bio
Anna Bwana brings over 15 years’ experience in designing and leading adaptive governance programs, with a passion for civil society collaborations, active citizenship, and women rights. She has been the Country Director of BBC Media Action in Tanzania since 2020 and has also served as interim director in Ethiopia. Previously she served as Deputy Team Leader at the Institutions for Inclusive Development Project, as Governance Advisor at Embassy of Ireland, and Governance Program Manager at Oxfam Tanzania. She holds degrees in Development and Economics as well as Public Policy and Management from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS).
