Froydis Cameron-Johansson has over 30 years’ global experience across mining, energy and infrastructure. She is recognised for advising CEOs and Boards on HSES, reputation, geopolitical risk and external strategy in complex, high-risk environments.
Most recently she was Managing Director and Global Head of HSES at Rio Tinto, reshaping the HSES culture and external engagement and integrating sustainability risk into enterprise strategy while strengthening relationships with local communities, global institutions, investors and NGOs.
At Anglo American, she served as Group Head of International Government Relations & Sustainability. Leading global government relations, sustainability and stakeholder engagement across more than 20 jurisdictions, shaping public policy, securing major project approvals. Before mining, Froydis had a decade in oil and gas delivering both upstream and downstream projects from the frontline as well as being part of Shell’s first sustainable development team.
Having spent years in the field, Froydis is most at home outside in nature with her family and their energetic dog. She is passionate about developing teams and is a mentor and advocate for equality and inclusion as well as supporting her local community.
