Tesni Morgan – 2026 – All bark, No bite – aligning discussion on next generation talent with student and early career support and outreach

Tesni is speaking as part of the 2026 Responsible Raw Materials online conference: ‘Creating Certainty In A Time Of Change’. For the full schedule and to register for your free ticket, please visit the 2026 Conference Page.

Tesni is an early career geologist, graduating from the University of St Andrews in 2024. Outside of her current role working with Mining Footprint Ltd., Tesni is the lead of Student Chapters at Women in Mining (WIM) UK, supporting students at 8 universities in promoting future careers in the mining industry. Having first worked with WIM UK to establish a chapter at the University of St Andrews during her studies, Tesni has seen first hand the benefits of engagement with outreach organisations in providing opportunities for early career development, including completing a WIM UK internship post-graduation with Centamin. Based in Edinburgh, she is also part of the Mining Institute of Scotland’s Student and Early Career (SEC) committee, running events across Scottish unis to attract students and graduates to the mining industry.

Tesni’s fireside chat will explore the resilience of maintaining the UK mining workforce and where discussions misalign on opportunities and support for early career mining professionals.
