Abstract
Mica, renowned for its versatility, finds applications across a broad spectrum, from household appliances like toasters and hair dryers to the batteries of electric vehicles, not to mention its presence in cosmetics. The majority of mica is sourced from ASM (Artisanal and Small-Scale Mining) operations in India and Madagascar. Given the complex and intricate challenges inherent in mica mining communities, companies have chosen to join forces and collaborate, pooling their efforts towards the development of a responsible and sustainable supply chain.
