Kartik Akileswaran – 2024 – Learning to harness resource wealth for real value addition

Bio

Currently based in India, Kartik has 14 years of experience as a policy advisor and researcher on inclusive growth. He is the co-founder of Growth Teams, which aims to empower key government agencies in developing countries to problem solve for investment, exports, and jobs. Prior to this, he worked on private sector development, structural transformation, and firm productivity with CEGIS in India and with the Governments of Ethiopia and Sierra Leone through the Tony Blair Institute (TBI). He has served in various roles in the development sector throughout his career, including the World Bank, Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), J-PAL, and Innovations for Poverty Action (IPA). He holds a Master in Public Administration in International Development (MPA/ID) from the Harvard Kennedy School.
